Common Questions

Yes. Compounded medications are prepared pursuant to a valid prescription from a licensed prescriber (physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant or veterinarian).

Most compounded prescriptions are ready within 24 hours. Some formulations take longer — your pharmacist will provide a specific timeline when the prescription is received.

Complimentary local delivery is available in the Charlotte, Mint Hill, Matthews and surrounding area. Shipping is available to eligible states.

Coverage varies by plan and by medication. Some compounded prescriptions are covered by insurance; others are self-pay. We'll let you know your price up front.

FDA does not approve individual compounded medications the way it approves mass-manufactured drugs. Compounding pharmacies are state-licensed, must comply with applicable USP standards, and prepare medications pursuant to valid prescriptions in accordance with applicable Section 503A requirements.
